Interesting...it appears that Dylan can compel Ghost Jerry to show him memories? Very intriguing, but also it raises more questions. This far down the rabbit hole I'm starting to question everything. :)
Okay, now that I feel it’s safe to comment on today’s update…
On top of Thracecius‘s observations… I’m surprised how short Corey’s hair is. Looks like there’s been bad blood between these two for a lot longer than I anticipated. It also makes Jerry’s surprise at seeing Corey at Chris’s a lot less suspicious.
Does Jerry wear glasses? Or did he steal them?
Beth’s presence is… I can’t read it. She could be the point of contention or she could possibly be nothing more than an observer. I loosely suspect this might be related to the “Jerry has a crush on Beth” sub plot, but Jerry and Corey aren’t giving me anything to read between the lines with.
That aside, I really love this page’s composition. From Dylan’s thrust at Jerry, Jerry’s shock, the frames shattering as if from Dylan’s impact, the shards with Jerry and Dylan observing… visually, this page is a masterpiece.
With this power it seems Dylan can look at Jerry's past. I am curious if he can look at very recent events and see what happened that night but I guess that would be too simple and cheating :D
I agree with your assessment so I only have one more thing to add. Honestly, it is probably just coincidence but I guess anything is worth mentioning.
This vision is about Corey and Jerry arguing while Beth is watching them kinda crept out. Previously Dylan had a vision of Rob and Suit Jerry doing something (it was not clear) and Rob's GF was watching them with a scared expression. Both are dead. Both had their crush involved (strong word in Jerry's case?).
What is working against it is that the previous vision was very obscured and it was not even clear Rob or his GF could interact with Suit Jerry. So not much value here...
I feel like for the most part no one ever confronted Jerry's bad behavior while he was alive and just let him continue with his jerk attitude, up until his fight with Corey. Not sure if this is important to the story though.
Like when Jerry broke Dylan's nose, Dylan didn't tell on him.
Jerry would always get into fights and Corey would come to get him out of trouble.
When he ripped Chris' lip-piercing out, Corey just snatched him away and apologized. And Dylan apologized too and asked Chris not to take him to court.
Dylan said he couldn't remember how many times he went to get drunk Jerry home and he'd never get any thanks, but he still would go get him anyways.
Then at Jerry's grave, Dylan mentioned that even after all the stuff Jerry did to him, hitting him with the cinder-block was the first time he did anything against Jerry.
He also mentioned that no matter how much Jerry would make his family worry, their Dad couldn't bring himself to punish him and they would always forgive him because he could do "nothing wrong".
Heh. And now Jerry is dead and it is still about him and even what he did not do but others done to him. Always, always about Jerry, eh?
Pretty much Dylan's motivation to kill him in the first place. Okay, it sounds absolutely horrible but I guess that is what Dylan felt. However, lately it is hard to say if that is what even happened.
Back to the point: THIS is the reason why I think Suit Jerry is exactly THAT side of him in a spectral or whatever form. While they are plenty of cases Suit Jerry can be someone else and I have not ruled out any others pointed out, I think Suit Jerry is that side that ENJOYS all that attention he got and the ways others bailed him out of trouble while he remained the person he could do nothing wrong ever.
Why would he haunt Dylan and all that... Hm. I know it is definitely much more complicated and chances are I am not even correct in the first place.
