I didn't think the bubble placement out too well, the bottom you've gotta read sort of back to front... something to be fixed in the future!

well done putting that visually.

Thank you! :D it sure is a tricky situation

It DOES take a split second longer than normal to read, but that's fine since it's such a neat idea!

Ah, good! thanks!

I actually read the last two speech bubbles in the right order, because I was following the circle--I think this page leads the eye pretty damn well!

Aaah yay! I was aiming for the circular panel acting as a guide, I wasn't sure if it worked at all :')

In retrospect, it might’ve been smarter to swap this and the previous page in terms of framing. Dylan seemed to catch on quicker than I did as a reader that he was walking in circles. But this page makes it very obvious what is happening.

Anyways, I’m currently in the pool that Dapper Jerry is Dylan being mentally out to lunch. There might be a bit more to it, by way of conditioning or provoking, (ie a curse) but all in all Dapper Jerry isn’t ‘real’.

What’ll be really interesting to know is if Dylan can tell if Dapper and Stupid Jerry are two different people, and if he is willing to confide in the ghost about the haluacination.

Poor other Jerry getting the designation 'Stupid Jerry'

It definitely would have worked better if the circular part was either before or on the previous page, but I couldn't make it fit with the dialogue. Hopefully it's ok now because future readers will not have to wait between these pages :>

I'll update the name when I come up with something better, but in the mean time he hasn't done much yet to shake himself free of that one.

I'm not sure that I read them the right way (it can be read both ways and still work I think?) but it's a very creative way to design a page :D

Yeah. I think this Jerry is the worse part of Dylan's conscience. It is probably not that this "ghost" can do something to him but the face that Dylan may end up harming himself. The Corey business shook with him quite a bit plus it is not like other people are not arriving to their conclusions. He thought he killed his bro and then there would no suspicion. Done and over.

It is like he started out cool and thought all bases are covered but now is expressing the usual: "No! YOU made me do it!" Gotta have the excuse that the victim caused absolutely everything and you were just defending yourself, right?

Just thinking :D

Unf, I just want to eat some of your trippy layouts! It's a delight as eye-candy alone, never mind the clever metaphors it implies.

I keep homing in on Jerry's face. The askew smile, the narrowed eyes, the raised brows… They say you can tell good visual storytelling because it still makes sense without the words, and by god, even if I didn't know what they were saying, I'd still know just what your characters were *feeling*.

Like the clever paneling here.
