AaAAAaAAAaH

God, it’s agonizingly evident that Jerry just wants so badly to believe that his brother wouldn’t intentionally hurt him. That “I know you,” OUCH. I don’t know if I respect Dylan or hate him for telling the truth. This scene is giving me the same sort of dread as when Dyl confessed what he did. Dammit moth, I commend you for making me FEEL

Well I'm glad it still induces feels, I worry that I put so many of these kinds of scenes that they lose their effect! It would make things easier for Jerry if it wasn't Dylan's fault eh

Man, that smug punch-able face in panel two! :-D

He is such a charming villain :)

Really like this page. From Jerry hoping against hope that Dylan wasn't in control, and especially Dylan's honesty. Most protagonists might try to deny it, play off the other's ignorance, or maybe even lie to themselves. This was a nice change of pace. Dylan had nothing to gain by being honest with Jerry, but did it anyway.

And as always, your facial expressions are on point.

thank you!

To some degree he's also got to admit it to himself. There wasn't even a noticeable degree of control for him to fight so his feelings at the time were pretty real and he;s gotta get to grips with that!

Aaaaand yes. Perhaps he suffered enough. Ya. It is dang hard to blame Dylan now but maybe people are more forgiving when it is fiction? No idea but a job well done regardless!
I was kind of waiting for this sort of talk like the last 50 pages? Haha.

Probably unfair question but what would YOU do if you were in your bro's shoes, Jerry? Hm.

22nd May 2019, 6:43 PM edit | delete | reply

I don't think Jerry could imagine himself in Dylan's place because he never paid him enough attention to hate him and had nothing to be jealous of. Dylan got better grades than Jerry, but that's about it - and Jerry didn't even care about grades.

Yeah this talk was in part meant to go at the start of Deepwell but was moved for better flow, hopefully it also makes it more rewarding having waited a little longer :'D

Substitute what role you can partially for your bro if necessary. Maybe the lack of that irked me about both of them but it is most certainly their business. Yup!

Okay, I guess I can say I half gave up on that and figured your point is to let them stew until the very end, never able to talk like this again. Whew :D

I love

LOVE

that your first four panels are basically three people who look identical and yet each one is so distinctive.

Holy shit sometimes I forget they look identical bc they're all so different. I love it @Moth
